Why do we use credit cards?

Why credit cards? Why not use Cash?

  • how come people use credit cards? why not cash? what are the benefits for credit cards?

  • Answer:

For starters, I don't have to carry cash. This means no trips to the bank to get cash. I use my credit card for everything and take advantage of the interest free grace period between the purchase date and the statement due date. Then pay the entire balance by the due date. Since my cards are cash back reward cards, they literally pay me to use their money interest free. Why in the world would I use cash? Other very good reasons: Business expenses that are reimbursed by employer Reservations for hotels, car rentals, and airline tickets. Online purchases Most people actually pay their balances in full every month and don't carry balances. Not everyone runs up big balances and lives beyond their means.
