Whats the best way to get your credit going?

• In a few months ill be moving to ohio. Ill have saved up a couple thousand to get an appartment and a car plus take a trip with my fiance to washington DC., because im moving a good 700 miles, i wont have anyone to sign papers with me or anything like that and since im 18 i dont have any credit and ill need to get furniture and pay for it monthly ie. a furniture store but ill need credit for that. Whats the best way to get at least enough credit to get some furniture? Or can i just put a big enough down payment to "buy" credit? Basically whats the best course of action?

  You don't need furniture and shouldn't go into debt to get it. Are you attractive? If you are, look into having an old person pay for everything that you WANT. edit: a large rock is just as comfortable to sit on as a couch
