What is the correct torque for 2002 q 45 valve cover gaskets bolts?

  • i need to torque down my bolts for the valve cover gaskets, what is the correct amount of torque do i need in pounds i think 20pound of torque should be enough, does anybody have any info on this thanks?

  • Answer:

    1st step: 1.0 - 3.0 Nm (0.1 - 0.31 kg-m, 9 - 26 inch lbs.) 2nd step: 7.4 - 9.3 Nm (0.75 - 0.95 kg-m, 66 - 82 inch lbs.) You need to use gasket sealant at 4 locations for a proper seal.
