KODAK Camera Video Question?

Question about how Kodak's bankruptcy will affect its digital camera brand?

  • Kodak's shuttering its digital camera business, but is supposedly keeping extensions of them such as online and retailer photo printer kiosks. Now, according to this article (http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/09/us-kodak-idUSTRE81816Z20120209), "Now, instead of designing its own cameras, Kodak will try to license its brand to other camera makers, several of which have already expressed 'significant interest,' said spokesman Christopher Veronda." What does this mean? Does this mean that Kodak will allow other camera brands to manufacture their cameras with the same technology and brand name? Or does this only simply mean that they're selling off their technology to other camera brands? My reason for asking is because I love my Kodak EasyShare because of how easy it is to use, and am unsure of where this leaves future Kodak digital cameras such as the EasyShare sub-brand. Ten points for the one who can tell me, accurately. :) Thanks!
