Tips for more effective studying?

Exam studying tips for 4th graders?

• My neice is 4th grader. She asked me for some study tips, she's around 11 years old. She gets almost all the academic AND sports awards at school and she's extremely popular. She's also a tomboy, and basically she's an all-rounder. But you know what it is with these geniuses- they can't get enough of studying! She says sometimes she can't study properly because all these random thoughts keep popping in her head and whenever she leaves studying and goes off to relax for a bit, she says she feels guilty that she could've studied even more. Her mother is the one who tells her NOT to study and to relax, yet she's the one who wants to study even more. Also, theres' a chance for her to get a scholarship because she wants to prove herself. Any tips for bookwormish characters like my neice?

  I happened to have plenty of tests I needed to study for in 4th grade. Just be 1/2 of 6 is easy now, doesn't mean all of us immediately understood it in 4th grade. Some fun ways to study could be, giving her 5 math problems and having her answer them in 3 minutes. Try giving her a highlighted and reading a story and highlighting the nouns. Or play spelling games on the road ask her to spell something by pointing out the letters when she sees them on signs or on things you drive by.
