When to take AP economics?

Should I take AP Economics next year?

  • I'm choosing my classes for next year (I'll be a sophomore in high school) and I'm having trouble deciding between taking AP Economics (Two half year courses, one micro and the other macro, both college level) or normal economics which generalizes and introduces both. I have very little experience in economics besides keeping up with the stock market and watching some basic economics videos online, and I am taking three honors classes next year (Chem, Algebra II and US History I) so I can't decide which one to take. I am interested in learning about economics and I am good at math, so I think it will look great on my transcript for college to take AP. I'm not sure what to do, so any opinions would be great. Thanks.

  • Answer:

I have taken both college level macro and micro economics. I am also good at math, and interested in economics. Both were SOOO easy. Take AP economics and you will not regret it, I promise you it will be soo easy and also you will have so much fun learning while getting college credits.
