How to get line number from .NET pdb?

Anyone know the number to a cruise line that you call two weeks before departure to get discount?

  • Answer:

if you are looking to call the actual cruise line, there is no magic numbers, sometimes you need to wait days before the ship leaves to see a significant price drop. travel agents are not allowed to book a cruise at any rate lower than the ships going rate so that wont help either. but it wont hurt to ask. call up the cruise line, whatever line your looking into, and see what the going rate is right now, and it wont hurt to call again a week before the cruise either! good luck! hope you get a good discount! my aunt will be doing the same thing before our cruise in june!

If you want the number of the cruise line, go to their website. There's no "magic number" for cruise discounts. The agencies all have pretty much the same prices. The difference will be in what "perks" the agencies offer to get you to book through them. It's unlikely you'll find an open cabin two weeks before a sailing and, besides, the cruise lines have deadlines for submitting the passenger manifest. "Last minute" in cruising means booking less than 60 days out.

I happen to work for a travel agency that sells cruises and I can tell you(in general) cruises are going to cost more the closer to sailing rather than less. The exception is the occassional "one day" or "flash promotions", etc that a cruise line may have, but it is all basically supply and demand: the less cabins to offer the more than can ask for the price. Several calls a day ask "should I wait until the last minute, I know they want to fill their ship up" and the answer is"they already did". Despite what people not familiar with the industry believe, unless it's off-season(and down here in Florida, it's ALWAYS nice to cruise) cruise ships are having no problems filling up their ships. In response to an agent not being able to sell a cruise less than the cost the cruise line will sell directly-that is not the case. Some cruise lines we are prohibited from "discounting" but we ARE allowed to offer you shipboard credits or other amenities, and some cruise lines we absolutely are permitted to discount!
