Will riding my bike tone my thighs?

My thighs are, well (for lack of a better word) jiggly. I'm not overweight or anything, I just seem to store fat in my upper thighs a lot. I know that riding helps tone calves, but I'm wondering about the thighs Will riding my bike a few times a week help tone this area and make my legs seem slimmer? If not, anyone have any suggestions? (Keeping in mind that I do not like running or jogging much)..

Cycling would be great to to lose fat in the thighs but it wouldn't target that upper thigh area many people, including myself, tend to add fat too. Cycling targets more your quads and calves then it does your upper inner thigh. In addition to cycling I recommend some thigh squeezes and aerobics. Aerobics tend to do a lot of leg raises and thigh squeezes that really nail that upper inner thigh area. Here is a great exercise you can do at home. When sitting in a chair place a fist between both your knees. Squeeze your knees together as hard as you can trying to crush your fish. Hold for 3 secounds. Repeat for 10-15 repetions. Do five sets. Doing this everyday along with bike riding will help tone that inner thigh area.

it will help you loose adipose tissue which should in-turn make them appear toned. the reason cycling helps tone calves is because it uses them alot and increases muscle size. the only real way to tone is to loose fat(even though you are not overweight, you body still stores the fat you have in inconvenient places) but to summarize, do cycle! it should help you drop the little extra weight and it is alot of fun!

You can only tone muscles with exercise. You can take two people at the same height and same weight. The one that exercises will look a lot thinner the the one that doesn't. That said cycling will tone your legs and butt more then your calves.

If you do it enough, and goo through so pretty nasty terrain, i can promise you that you'll see some difference soon! Record times and distances and try to progress each time!
