How to burn calories faster?

How many calories should I burn at the gym?

  • I go to the gym on average 4 times a week and burn between 500- 700 calories, I'd say 600 on average. I usually run on the treadmill or sometimes do a high intensity walk and after I go on the rower or bike or crosstrainer. I do resistance training and weights twice a week. Is 600 calories too little to burn, because I know people who do a lot more, like burn 1,000 in a session. I eat between 1,400- 1,500 calories a day (I want to loose another 20- 25 pounds, I am a 146 pounds, 5 foot 7 20 y/o female). Should I be burning more calories?
