Are this Genius speakers wireless?

How do i stop my speakers interfering?

  • Hello i use my laptop to DJ through my p.a which is great but when i plug in a monitor or my projector through vga for karaoke and interactive song choice the speakers make a really loud buzz noise the only way to lower the buzz is to turn the slider down on the desk but then the music is quiet and turning my laptop up creates bad sound quality in high quality speakers i know it is the VGA output because when i change the image on screen the sound changes slightly anyone who can help me remove this is a genius and i would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance for any comments.

  • Answer:

What you have is a "ground loop" problem. The first thing to do is to have all your electronic components plugged into the same power source (power strip or surge protector). Also, never use one of those three prong to two prong adapters on anything. If this doesn't solve the problem there are several other things to try. Do a Google search for "how to eliminate ground loop" and you will find plenty of articles to help you.

Try wrapping any cables going to the VGA projector, as well as the power cord to the projector thru a ferrite core. You can get ferrite cores at Radio Shack. If you can wrap the cable TWICE thru the core you're way better off than using two cores and the larger RS cores should be big enough to do that. Here's a link to read for bit more info. http://www.mycablemart.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=2350 Oh yeah... keep the power cord and the VGA cable well away from all other cables.

Your projector is probably, too close to the computer.
