Do you think long distance relationships work?

Do you think long-distance relationships work out?

  • I'm currently in the Philippines. My boyfriend needs to go to London to study for like maybe 2 to 5 years. We really love each other and I already miss him even though he isn't gone yet. We have talked about it and we are very much willing to make sacrifices so communicate with each other. He even told me that he is willing to continue our relationship and that I should wait for him till he comes back because he really loves me. So do you think our relationship would work out? Or will it be better if we just forget each other and move on?

  • Answer:

Yes it can work, but focus above all else on being very good friends. The key will be communication when you are separated by distance. Call, text, or email him every day. When you are both online at the same time Skype him so you can see each other, and when he's not online send him a mailVU video message. The more you communicate the more you will be in his mind. When you can get together in person it will be like you never left. Best of luck to you both!

long distance is just like any other relationship as far as your emotions go ---- if you want it to work it will work ---- if you are asking and even considering breaking up because of it then you are not all that committed to the relationship ----- you have skype IM emails phone and even letters to stay in contact with each other ----- what we think does not matter its what you think and it does not sound very positive ----- my lady is on the other side of the world and its been over 6 years now ---- so you decide what YOU want not what other people say ---- best wishes
