Did your birth control make you gain weight? Is it possible to lose weight while on birth control?

I am starting a new birth control pill and I am a little nervous about the weight gain. I'm going from lo loestrin 24 fe to loestrin 24 fe. I was just wondering if you have gained any weight while taking your birth control pill? if so, how much? also I've heard that it is nearly impossible to lose weight while on birth control, is this true? Is it only due to birth control, or is it due to the pill causing hunger cravings which causes you to eat more? I've been watching my weight and working out a lot, so I am very scared of gaining weight. Just curious and want to hear opinions!

Weight gain is a side effect of birth control pills and thus, it is more difficult to lose weight while on the pill. I was on the pill for 3 years and gained 10 pounds despite doing a lot to lose weight (eating well, exercising, etc). It's just something you have to deal with if you are going to take the pill. I believe that ALL birth control options have this side effect--the shot, the ring, etc. It's a hormone issue. If you don't want that side effect, don't take birth control. Use a condom every time if you are sexually active (which you should do anyway if you are not in a committed relationship) or simply don't have sex.

if you re cooking food in the microwave chances are you re eating unhealthy packaged foods if you must microwave consider soy chicken patties veggie burgers or steamer vegetables and brown rice
