Kissing - how long does it take for any symptoms to show up after kissing someone?

  • if a virus or etc... was to be transmitted how long would it take until symptoms appear? I deep french kissed and a few hours later I started feeling my thought getting soar... and now 20 hours later it's worse and I'm feeling under the weather... just curious - is it just a coincidence or how quickly do some of the symptoms show up? AFAIK via kissing it's possible to catch these and more... common cold stomach bugs strep throat Syphilis wart Herpes Simplex (cold sores) (fever blisters) mono (mononucleosis) (kissing disease) - "Symptoms are not usually felt until 4-7 weeks after exposure to EBV." what are the other ones? what do my symptoms sound like? thank you...

    The average incubation period for viruses is about 2-3 days, and bacterium's incubation period is even longer. If you started to show symptoms only hours after kissing, then you were most likely infected already. but i would not worry about it, what you are feeling is most likely just a common cold. ~ Feel Better Soon!

If you started to show symptoms only hours after kissing, then you were most likely infected already. but i would not worry about it, what you are feeling is most likely just a common cold. ~ Feel Better Soon!
