Why are shrimps not kosher?

Why are my brine shrimps dying???? help quick?

  • Well I hatch baby brine shrimps to feed my guppies and I usually hatch them and they last until 3 to 4 days but now days they are only surviving for 1 day after hatch and cant feed them to my fishes the next day why??? everything is still the same??? same type of salt, same type of water and etc...but why are they dying soo quick now????

  • Answer:

I dont know why they would be dying but there could be many reasons. to little salt, not enough airation, water is to hot or to warm, didnt condition the water. One thing I would suggest trying so you dont have to keep restarting a new batch of bbs is to freeze them after the first day. You can probably find a cheap ice tray at the store that has smaller holes.

there can be many reasons, too many to even think about, but soap residue etc. can kill them, not having the right salt level, bad batch of eggs, water too hot, too cold, not enough aeration, toxin near the airpump is being pumped in the water (like pesticides, room air freshners, cleaning products), your tap water has chloromine and you're not using Amquel water conditioner along with the Novaqua or other water conditioner.

Maybe too much or too little salt? Not enough oxygen? You really should feed them to your fish as soon as they hatch. They are most nutritious when they just hatched. If you wait 3~4 days, they pretty much lose all the nutrition values.
