How to recover my email address book which is deleted by unknown person?

The same thing happened to me this morning. The hacker contacted my email contacts asking for money. The hacker was in Spain. Hard to tell my friends of the problem as their email address is now gone. Have now changed my password and advised to do this every month by btinternet.com
