How can I make a Tupperware container waterproof?

• I have a plastic container I bought at the dollar store. It will remain outside and I need to make sure no water can seep into it i.e. rain, ground moisture, etc. are there any cheap ways to do this? I thought some plastic wrap over the container and sealing the lid over it would work, but I'm curious of other ways.

• Answer:

  Don't try to make it water proof. Place the contents that are to go into the bin inside a zip-lock baggie which is already water proof, and use the bin to protect the baggie from mechanical injury.
