Is a New York State High School Equivalency Diploma the same as a GED...It doesn't seem like it since the NYSHSED isn't a test and the GED is. So which is better if you want to go to college?

To be honest, I've never heard of the NYSHSED but I dont live in NY, if I were you I would get your GED for the simple fact you're 100% safe that way. hope that helps! GL PJ
