Can an employer check my juvenile record?

Can any employer check your criminal record, even if it is "spent". My record was from when I was a minor, and it was not taken to court.

  • Answer:

Any employer can check your criminal record. It is a matter of public record but the records of a minor are not available and most companies only search back 7-10 years. If you are concerned you can always run a database check on yourself to see if anything comes up but I don't think it is necessary. If you want try, http://www.easybackgroundchecks.com are pretty good.
