What are TFT monitors?

Please some one tell me does LCD monitors causes radiation, & what about the TFT monitors, how does it work? does it caused radiation, what is the full form of TFT

  • Answer:

No, LCD monitors do not cause radiation - other, of course, than the visible light they emit, which is a form of radiation. They do not have the high-voltage electrons which caused early CRTs to emit X-rays. However, it is a very ling time since commercially available CRTs emitted significant amounts of radiation. TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor and describes the thin layer of transistors which turn on and off the pixels in the LCD screen.
