How do you get rid of a foot cramp?

How do you get rid of a cramp when it keeps coming back even after stretching out the muscle and relieving it? I've never had this before in the arch of my foot.

  • Answer:

Message the bottom of the foot and then drink plenty of fluids.

If it doesn't relieve, go to the doctor. You could have a collapsed arch. I began getting very very bad 'charlie horses" - cramps in my calves which had me in screaming pain at night. It turns out my lab work showed an electrolyte imbalance and a potassium deficiency. Now I eat a banana a day and have a small packet of powder prescription potassium supplement to mix with water or juice as needed. If it doesn't resolve, please see a doctor.
