What is repeat purchase?

What does "repeat all " mean for cd player?

  • On one boombox it plays all tracks over and over and over, endlessly. On two others it stops after a while. I am guessing it may repeat all tracks once only. If so, what will "repeat 1" do? Repeat track one endlessly or repeat track one only once?

  • Answer:

it's supposed to be continuously playing all tracks. first, second, third, . . . , last, first, second, third, . . ., last, first, second, third, <etc>. On the two that stop, they're probably broken. Or they ran out of batteries. I mean seriously, a "boom box"? How old is that thing? "Repeat 1" is supposed to mean "play this one single track, over and over again."

Other answers

Repeat all should continuously repeat all tracks. Repeat 2 continuously repeats track 2 only. That seems to be standard; i.e., seen on several divices. Some devices have program mode that allows, for example, to select tracks 5, 11, 2 and play only those. Some devices allow to play those once or to repeat all continously. However, the way to use program differs among devices. For example one devices (on which I have never been able to find instructions), the sequence for programming is: Program - Repeat all - select track - Program - select track - Program [repeat select track - Program, as desired); then press Play to begin. With some devises this may be (must be?) done while playing. On the one just outlined, can be done only if not playing.
