My dogs got a hold of the one from the company, did no visible damage to the oustside but must have crushed something on inside. This remote has been dropped, kicked, sat on, Dog licked, and everything in between with our kids and dogs. Knowing it was brand new, and the merchandise being brand new, must make it that more sturdy. The equiptment we had received from cable company was used.
