Is sand an insulator or conductor of electricity?

Answer:
Sand could be both an insulator and conductor. Have you ever been to the beach and had a cold drink? What you can do is dig a hole in the sand and place your drink inside. Therefore, insulating your drink- keeping it cold. To make glass on the beach, you place tall metal rods deep into the sand so that when the lightning hits the rods. it will make glass. Therefore, sand can be a conductor. Hope that I have helped you out!
