Solution for back pain?

Is there any solution for calf pain which happens while running?

  • I feel sever pain in my right leg calf while running or jogging. I visited doctor and took some medicine. After medicine I feel better for few days, but again pain starts. Is there any permanent solution for this pain, so that I can keep my fitness longer?

  • Answer:

Tie a crepe bandage around your calf muscle and do moderate running first. Don't tie it too tight, that might hinder the blood circulation, just enough to feel tightness around the calf. Do some light stretching exercises before you start your run. It could be anything from just stretching your legs apart to doing some intense flexing/folding of the legs. This awakens your muscles for the run to come. This is same as giving some throttle to your automobile engine during cold season before you take it out for drive. Go for slow but long jogs first. Let your calf muscles familiarize with duration rather than effort. Don't jump into fast paced runs. If this works fine and you are able to run distances without the pain in the calf, gradually remove the crepe bandage and try running without it. Again, try covering duration first then speed. If this still doesn't work out. Go see a better doctor!
