Which field in Aerospace is more promising? and why?

How is the reputation of Penn State University in the US, especially in the aerospace engineering field?

  • And what are the job opportunities one has after completing an MS degree in aerospace engineering from Penn State University?

  • Answer:

Thanks for the A2A... I'm a Supply Chain & Economics undergraduate student at Penn State so I don't know much about the engineering Master's program, but I'll tell you what I know. A degree from Penn State seems to be well regarded among employers. Many of my engineering friends have found internships with great companies. Penn State's rankings in national reports are high across the board and are consistently improving. For what it's worth, the 2014 U.S. News & World Report ranked Penn State's graduate aerospace engineering program 14th in the country. I thought I'd also mention the Penn State Lunar Lion Mission (http://lunarlion.psu.edu/). The Lunar Lion team is working to put a spacecraft on the moon and win the Google Lunar XPRIZE.  It is a really unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with spacecraft design, construction, operation, etc. Undergrads, grad students, and faculty in a variety of disciplines are involved. I'd imagine the experience you would get from working on this project would be very attractive to recruiters.
