How do I enable the Caps Lock keyboard in Logic Pro 9 to generate MIDI notes when I have my Caps Lock key mapped to ^Control?
-
In System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifer Keys..., I have the Caps Lock key mapped to the ^Control key. This works great for hacking Lisp in Aquamacs, but it is annoying to reset the Caps Lock key every time I want to enter the MIDI keyboard in Logic Pro 9... What's another way of entering the keyboard if I don't have a Caps Lock?

Answer:
All key shortcuts are customisable under Preferences-> key commands (or indeed alt+k IIRC). I thoroughly recommend learning the default shortcuts* rather than customising too heavily - you can then get a keyboard skin with all the shortcuts. Smoothes the workflow to know end. (* though if Aquamacs is your editor of choice, I expect you're pretty down with how awesome keyboard shortcuts are...)
