How to add likes to the top Facebook business pages?

I see many Facebook pages with little interactions in terms of likes and comments. What types of business are not suitable for Facebook pages?

    Facebook was built on "friends and family" and its business model was slapped on top of the social network afterwards. At the very least a Facebook business page can be an online billboard. A web property that's up 24/7 directing traffic like that of an online search listing. If you want to use your Facebook page in an active capacity, you must ask yourself the following. Is the content I share on my Facebook page interesting enough that viewers will engage with it? How much are those "likes" and comments worth to my business? As for specific industries and businesses, I wouldn't encourage pharmaceutical / drug companies to have Facebook pages (at least disable comments from fans). Also certain professionals (i.e. lawyers, doctors, psychiatrists, etc). Can you imagine what a divorce lawyers Facebook business page would look like if they allowed anyone to post on their wall? lol

I would posit that any business can succeed on Facebook if they approach it correctly. I can sell plungers and still get people to like my page if my content is funny, interesting, and engaging.
