Which field in Aerospace is more promising? and why?

From a bachelor's in aerospace, what are some of the options to diversify your field/career in graduate studies?

  • I have done bachelor in aerospace engineering but i find it rather boring. Can i diversify myself to go towards banking/management or maybe biotechnology, computer science etc?

  • Answer:

Duh. Do a drone-swarm-based mobile, ad hoc wifi bitcoin exchange startup to service transactions needs at events. Add biometric authentication based on aerial photos. Carnival coupons/tokens are soo 20th century.

I recommend becoming an elite paper-aeroplane origami artist.  There's lots of prize money at the competitions.  KEN is easily converted to BTC. Bonus, you can always fold paper airplanes while the engineering dept. meetings get boring.  I find post-it notes to be fine found fodder. p.s. with one ream of printer paper you should own your own drone army within a month or two.  At that point, retire and take up your third career : ______________.

A lot of investment, Wall Street-type firms like engineers for the way of thinking. If that's what you're interested in, an MBA would likely be enough to get you started at some level. If you want to apply your aerospace knowledge to another field, do non-aerospace work for an aerospace company (I knew a photog for a major defense contractor that majored in AE, decided he loved photography, went to school for that, and now flies around in the backseat of an F-18F taking pictures of test flights). More than half the engineering work done on a military plane these days is done with 1s and 0s. Pursuing a degree and career in CS while holding on to a degree in AE would certainly give you an edge at an aerospace company because it shows your interest and background in the product.

I did my Bachelors in Aerospace. From my experience, I can tell you that Computational Science/Maths can be an easy extension and diversification at the same time. It opens you to broader fields like investment banking, computer science and various other fields. You can apply your knowledge to absolutely any area of study.
