How To Stream Nfl Redzone?

Will the NFL RedZone harm the subscription to DirecTV and the ratings of other NFL programming?

  • Since I discovered the NFL RZ channel on Comcast (my local cable company) I literally haven't watched a Sunday day game (it would be pointless when there's only one game on). I can't imagine this is good for ratings for DirecTV or Fox and CBS. In fact, when I had the NFL Sunday Ticket I would flip around to try and do what the RZ now does for me: automatically switch to any game where a team is in the red zone, and show me every score or turnover even on a slight delay. Am I the only one or are other people watching football this way as well now? I would never pay for Sunday Ticket (or any other package) as long as this is available.

  • Answer:

NFL RZ is the new crack. If God had a remote, this would be the channel.  Someone wrote that last year (can't recall who did), but it is so true. If you are a mega-fan, you see all the scoring plays. If you play fantasy football, this channel is amazing. If you are a casual fan, this channel offers all the excitement in a fraction of the time. Last point: NFL game Rewind, on http://NFL.com, is equally addictive, and $40 for the season.  You can watch any game once it has been played at any time, for the rest of the year. #winning My hunch is, RZ is going to be insanely popular by the time the Sunday Ticket Deal expires is 2014.  Can totally see RZ as a higher-dollar, have to have it product after 2014. Agree it is a serious threat to Sunday Ticket. It also makes SportsCenter essentially obsolete for football. --jd
