You can't. Budgets are set at the campaign level.

You can only set budgets at campaign levels. Thus you can have one adgroup per campaign as a structure and control the budgets.

There's definitely a work-around way to do it by using automated rules on the adgroup. Check out the section "Pause campaigns that have reached a certain number of clicks partway through the day" over here on the Adwords Help page: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497710?hl=enBasically you create a series of rules at specific times of day. The article on Google's support forum uses clicks as the variable. But you can just as easily use spend. http://www.cysppc.com

Short answer: you can't set a daily budget at an Ad Group level. Long answer: Why would you want to set a budget for an ad group? An Ad Group exists in AdWords for the specific purpose of matching ads with keywords. You may nave 1-n keywords in a group and you may have 1-n ads in rotation within that group. The ad group is a shell that combines the keywords and ads. That is really all it is meant to do. Campaigns are where you control who you target (i.e. language, geography, networks, etc.), so that is also where you want to allocate your budgets.
