Can girls wear board shorts to a swimming pool?

  • Girls board shorts obviously. Anyway I wanted to stay fit this summer so I decided to start swimming everyday. I went shopping with my dad for a bikini(mom died when I was 7 so this was very weird!) and I found this cute bikini with a bandeau halter bikini top and string bikini bottom. My dad freaked about the bottom and forced me to get some girls board shorts. I don't know if I'll look weird because I've only seen girls wear board shorts when they surf or something....so will I look weird at a public pool with board shorts?

    No, I even wear trunks over my suit. I think it looks good with the right combination. I also bet your dad is being...well...a dad. All dads do that, don't worry. He'll let ya wear just a bikini someday...also sorry 'bout your mom. Anyway, make it look cool some how...i wear a one-piece with trunks, but if it matches really well i bet it'll work with a bikini, too. Hope i helped!
