No, dogs are not colorblind in the sense that they see more than just black, white, and gray. However, the color range they perceive is limited compared to the spectrum we see. To put it in very basic terms, the canine color field consists mostly of yellows, blues, and violets.

The website is right. It's not completely black and white or grey, based on some dog vs human vision pictures I saw, dogs DO see less color and everything seems blander. I'll stay with human vision, thank you very much lol

Less colors ( a more limited spectrum ) most of there spectrum is tennis ball colored and a light blue if I remember right

I've always heard they are color blind. I do not think it's true. Our puppy appears to watch TV from time to time. But I was told they can't see TV because they can't see in a proper dimension I think they said 2 dimension. Wow I've got to look into this, it's a great question, I just need to brush up on it a little.
