Is fade cream the same as bleach cream?

Nein Mustache- natural solution for fade cream.

  • A couple of summers ago I went to the beach without sunscreen and ended up with two charming little sun spots right under my nose. I had hoped that they would fade with time but no, I still look like Hitler when I'm not wearing make-up. Help. I tried a prescription fade cream for moles about 10 years ago and it triggered an asthma attack. I read that that was a side effect and I have been afraid of fade creams since. Is there something natural like lemon oil or voodoo that would work? I'm 42, white with olive skin. I have very sensitive skin and many allergies so the milder the better.

    I had a doctor tell me once to use lemon juice on mine. But you have to REALLY keep out of the sun while doing that.

Can you see a dermatologist? I would go with their clinical expertise over any "natural" remedy. They should be able to find something for you that won't trigger your asthma.

Sounds like melasma. A dermatologist can help with fading creams or laser treatment. In the meantime, lots of sunscreen every single day regardless of sun can help it from getting worse.

I have an appointment for laser treatment of my red hitler mustache next week. My derm said it was roseasea, and not really preventable for those of Northern European ancestry, for what it's worth. I hope it works. The fading creams did not.

I'd go see a dermatologist would be my suggestion as laser might be the best way to go if you are worried about allergies. Have you tried vit c serums or AHA's? I have age spots caused by sun damage and both have worked on me to fade, though not completely remove them. Note if you use either of these products be sure to use sunblock as well (yes even with olive skin) as they can lead to increased sensitivity to sunlight. Start slowly every few days to see how your skin reacts.

I have freckles and a few larger dark spots. I slather sun screen on to keep everything from deepening or getting darker. I also use OTC stuff that fades spots, but I agree that you should probably see a dermatologist. FWIW, this is a very common side effect of oral contraceptives. Small price to pay.
