    Hey, I use to be a coach for a Soccer team and here is actually what we work on all the time. 1. Swimming. We did this at least twice a week for two hours. Swimming requires you to hold your breath and trains your body to use less air. Furthermore it is a great way to work out. 2. Velocity Training. This is my way of training which includes jogging for a half mile, sprinting for 200 yards and then repeating this process 4 times. It is a really intense workout. 3. Removing pop from your diet. Carbon Dioxide has been proven to reduce the amount of oxygen intake that you get, even after drinking the soda itself. This is an easy way to get a slight benefit. Eat healthy and jog/run everyday. Start slow pace since you seem like youre not too fit you should do short runs but multiple reps throughout the day, like run for 5 mins on treadmill every hour or so. and eventually increase the time and speed.
