WHat is the different between available balance and current balance?

If my current balance is different to my available balance, which one do i go by?

    You might be able to make the £15 purchase, but unless you put another £5 into your account fairly quickly it will overdraw. To be safe, ALWAYS use the balance that is lower. The reason there are 2 different numbers is because some charges take a day or 2 to actually clear.

You go by the available balance - that is what "available" means. So, no, you cannot buy something for £15 if all you have available is £10

You go by the lowest balance, the rest of the money is being held as there is a payment about to go out to someone,always go by the availible balance.

as the bank say you have £10 avaliable, so that is what you have to spend. you may have a payment pending which is still to come out of your account.
