If you completed the lessons more than two years ago then no insurer will give you any discount now. The lessons have to be recent if they are to have any value. Regardless of age all new drivers are considered high risk, although being older makes you less of a risk than a 18 year old. I believe the savings you get from taking the lessons will exceed the cost of the lessons, plus the lessons will help you pass the test.
