How do you know when stitches are ready to come out?

Can stitches come our by thensves?

• Can stitches com out by themselves. If so. I have a sterol strip over them that my doctor said to leave on. So I can't see the stitches. So how would I know if they did come undone

  I don't think they do come undone. Unless they are special ones that like degrade themselves only the doctor will remove them. I had stitches once not nice the nurse didn't take them all out there were two parts still in my skin that one I pulled out easily the other was almost attached to my skin so it hurt a little. So if you see anything that looks like stitches around the area after they have removed it pull it out.
