  Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic, LG and Philips are working on ways to include viable 3D options in their products before the end of 2010. Sky TV broad casted a live premier league football match last weekend shown on several screens around the UK. It is predicted that sports fans will be in the most interested group of possible 3d TV purchasers. In the past, there were strict limitations on the types of on-screen action that could be presented reliably in 3D, and the costs of producing 3D segments in terms of time and finances were even more restrictive. Those limitations are now all but completely gone and it is possible to produce a 3d TV set without sending the cost through the roof. To watch the 3D you do (as already pointed out) need to wear a special set of glasses. It is my opinion that it is not going to take off in the home as well as many are predicting simply because of people who already wear corrective glasses for their vision. Will the consumer really go out and purchase a pair of prescription style 3d glasses? Until they master the art of producing 3D without the need to wear glasses I won't be purchasing a set.
