How to make all channels available in TV?

How can I make my TV display many channels at once?

  • Hi, I'm working with an analog cable TV system. It has about 15 channels. I would like to display all, or most of those channels on a single TV - a kind of grid-type sampler ...show more

  • Answer:

The best your TV can do is "picture in picture" - but only if the TV is actually equipped with that feature. That will give you 2 channels at once. I don't know of anything that can do what you're talking about (>2 channels) and even a few quick google searches doesn't seem to find anything promising. You *might* be able to do this with you computer. You can get a TV card for your computer which provides it with a single TV tuner. The included software then lets display the picture from that tuner on your screen. I *suppose* if you somehow managed to install 15 physical tuners onto your PC (using USB hubs and whatnot) it *might* be possible to have 1 window per tuner on your PC. You could then connect your PC to your TV, and display the PC's screen on your TV, with all these different windows going on it. I have no idea if this would work or not, or even if your PC would be capable of handling that much data. These tuners are about $40/each so this wouldn't be a cheap solution.
