    Dont use anything that has ammonia in it. That will react with the plastic in the monitor. Spray water on a paper towel and then very lightly like a feather wipe the screen with the paper towel. Dont use to much pressure or you will damage the area underneath. LCDs are not made of glass so you cannot apply very much pressure. Did your monitor come with a manual? Please refer to that because each monitor is different by manufacturer.

With a clean soft cloth and glass cleaner. DO NOT spray the cleaner on the screen, spray it on the cloth. Do not press hard on the screen when wipping. Pressing to hard will break the crystals the screen is made of. If you break the crystals you will have a black line either accross or down the screen. Hope this helps...
