Difference between fullscreen and widescreen?

What is the difference between blu-ray, widescreen, fullscreen, and collector's edition DVDs?

  • What is the difference between fullscreen, widescreen, blu-ray, and (two-disc) collector's edition DVDs? (A source with your answer would be quite helpful. Thanks!)

  • Answer:

Well blue-ray has enhanced visual quality and blu-ray disks can hold a lot more data on them, widescreen movies are formatted to fit a widescreen without the black bars on the top and bottom. Fullscreen is pretty much the same thing only for 4:3 television sets and monitors. Collectors editions usually have extra content and so on and sometimes come with bonuses such as digital copies and so on.
