How fast & reliable is wifi on an airplane?

Im in europe, and have airplane mode on, if i connect to wifi while still on wifi will it cost me roaming?

• i am connected to wifi while on airplane mode, but i dont want my bill to be like $600. so if i stay on airplane mode while on wifi, is this free ?

  Hi, I have had this problem before and family has too, the best thing to do is to turn your data roaming off! if you keep your data roaming on and then try to use the internet it will charge you, my dad spent about £50 in a day because of it, so the best thing to do is turn it off and then when you get to a hotel with wifi get the code or something and connect it then this way you know you wont get charged!
