You don't "switch" licenses. You complete an LVN to RN (Assoc. Degree in Nursing) program, which takes about 12-18 months. There are also LVN to BSN-RN programs, which are about 3 years. Google search and find the website for the Texas Board of Nursing. Their site will have a page dedicated to the approved education programs in the state, including those LVN bridge programs.
