Does swimming take a long time to tone your body?

I work out a lot, I run a mile a day - but i still want to tone up a lot more. Is swimming a fast and efficient way to do it?

Most people don`t think so, but swimming is actually a very good work out! You`re "pushing" against the water, so you use your muscles more! It doesn't seem so, because you`re in the water,lol,and you don`t sweat! YES!!! SWIM!!! It`s great exercise! Good luck!! :)
