Are Bayliners good boats?

Where do i find out about used boats? and which boats are good?

  • i heard that bayliners are good boats for lakes but not blue water. the type of boat i'd like is a twin engine cabin crusier.

  • Answer:

I've been in a couple Bayliners on saltwater fishing charters, one was a twin gas engine and the other a large single deisel. They seemed fine to me but that is pretty limited experience. I find boats that float a large percentage of the time are the best kind to buy. They're like cars, most really are good if taken care of properly. The average boater will tell you the kind he owns is the best. A boat by definition is "a hole in the water you pour money in". Good Luck and happy boating.

Do what I did. Join a boater web group. I joined boatered.com. That group is a good resource for me.
