Why won't attachments, that I send, open for the recipient?

I can't open any attachments! In addition, if I send an attachment, the recipient can't open. I have Vista.?

    well I assume it's yahoo since u say no different when u open the email u simply click on the file name of the attachment yahoo will scan it for viruses when it's finished u will see the 'download' button by the file name click it and windows will open a small window asking if u want to 'open or save' so u choose, then wait for it to finish and that's all there is to it
