    Actually the Pilgrims didn't kill the Indians. In fact, they were good friends with them. The Indians helped them learn to survive in the wilderness. In fact, the first Thanksgiving was a party put on by the Pilgrims AND Indians to thank God for their friendship. They celebrated together as equals. Please don't confuse the Pilgrims with all the others.

That stupid people actually believe the Pilgrims killed the Native Americans! That's hilarious that some people are so misinformed! They didn't-- Natives and Pilgrims had their moments of cooperation, and moments of animosity. The Native American's decline was later, for a variety of reasons, and at war with other, later settlers. What else is funny is that people think Thanksgiving-- a harvest festival that focuses on hearth & home-- has anything to do with the tragedy that befell the Native People! My Native American friend came to Thanksgiving at our house a few times (when she wasn't having it at hers). We talked about all these crazy misconceptions over turkey and had a good time.
