When people win free stuff on talkshows, do they carry all the stuff out of the studio?

I've never been on a talk show but I did win an Escalade from a dealership. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to pay the yearly taxes (registration) on it so I sold it back to the dealership at cost and they gave me the money. I had to pay tax on that money too. These shows don't tell you about that aspect. I'd assume they just ship the stuff to you though.
