    Like stinking... says, get a lesson and make sure you're not in the backseat all the time. Skiing is as much about technique as it is about strength. As far as training goes, the most important thing you can do is strengthen your core by doing things like body planks. Doing plyos for the legs is a better idea than lifting weights too. I wouldn't worry too much about lifting unless you are at a competitive level, just work on technique and have fun skiing.
