  sell your panasonic to get more money. these cameras are still worth money now. if you wait much longer, the camera won't be worth anything. since you're familiar with panny, why not stick with it. the higher end pro summer camera's have the same configuration. ag hmc150 is a great cam. it records to avcHD and is small, until you edit and output. It will become about 1 gig per minute, but the look will be outstanding if you do your part... spend about 60% of your budget on a camera with the rest going to accessories. HD is superior to SD in every way. It will also expose all of your weaknesses. Your computer will need to be a quad core otherwise you'll end up with overnight waits for rendering.
